Because we live in America we often think that everything — all the world’s success, or at least a moderate amount of success — should be ours. It is because America gives us the opportunity to succeed that we think we ought to succeed.
But in truth we are all different. We shouldn’t be frustrated just because we haven’t obtained everything that we wanted with the ease we wanted. America lets us aspire to great things, and sometimes achieve great things, but America does not make success a right.
In other countries you don’t always have the opportunity or the hope for a better life. And that is sad. But sometimes our frustrations and anger at life right now arise from wanting more than we should or could handle.
Life dreams are good and should be encouraged, but success is a gift and not a right.
