What I'm Reading

From India to America

The Wall Street Journal’s article “A Passage From India” is a classic rags to riches story, except it’s about a Hakka Chinese man’s climb from being a poor boy in the outskirts of Calcutta, India, to a highly successful banker at UBS in the United States. Dan Chu’s story of how hard work combined with chance encounters paid off inspires us to be more diligent ourselves. As Chu never dreamed that his life would turn out so differently from that of his childhood, we should not despair that our lives will always be the same. Don’t be afraid to dream beyond what you see today, but be prepared to work hard.
